In a tight contest at The Nut House, the Tree City Black Squirrels edged the Houston Sting by the score of 5-4. Tree City third baseman John Gero, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. With the win, Tree City boosts its record to 8-8.
Gero delivered in the bottom of the third inning for Tree City. With the game tied and the bases loaded, the third baseman hit a grand slam home run to right.
