The Stroudsburg Shade put together a convincing win at Tim Raines Stadium, defeating the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 12-1. Jesus Plana was one of the hitting stars. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Stroudsburg. Gohta Yamashiro earned the save, his 1st. Stroudsburg, now 6-9, is off to a slow start.

The Shade got an important contribution from second baseman Miguel Marrero, who in the bottom of the seventh hit a first pitch curveball into left for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Shade ahead, 12-1.

Brisbane manager Pete Barrett called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
