The Houston Sting grabbed a 6-2 win over the Tree City Black Squirrels at The Nut House. Houston first baseman Troy Tisdale was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. The Black Squirrels fall to 6-8 and continue to sputter in the early going.

An important at-bat for Houston came with two out in the top of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, Tisdale hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Sting win.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Houston manager Héctor Flores.
