The Bloomington Blazers powered past the Seattle Sasquatch, 9-4, at Sick's Stadium. Arnold Layne went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, to lead the charge. The Blazers' win now puts them at 26-24.

It could have been a different outcome for Bloomington, had it not been for Fernando Franco, the 25-year old shortstop . Franco contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Bloomington up, 3-2.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Franco.
