Coney Island right-hander Mike Tyson was in fine form, shutting out the Chippewa River Chiefs, 2-0. Coney Island reliever Jamie Morgan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Manchu Woo took the loss. The Cyclones keep rolling, raising their record to 8-3.
The critical at-bat for Coney Island came in the top of the 11th inning. With one out, Shoya Wada hit a 2-run single, putting Coney Island up, 2-0.
"I like our resilience," said Wada.
