New Orleans Wins 4-2 to Continue Red Hot Start

The New Orleans Jedi Knights got a strong performance from pitcher Jim Unknown, who stymied the Winfield offense en route to a 4-2 win at The Republic. Picking up the save was Jim Unknown, his 1st. The Jedi Knights, now 10-2, have been on fire in the early going.
Parking one for New Orleans was Charlie Knickle. The first baseman had a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth for the Jedi Knights. It put his team ahead, 4-1, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Knickle was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Unknown told the New Orleans Chronicle. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
