The Houston Sting dealt the Bethesda Hornets a 5-3 loss at Hornets Field. Toshio Matsuzaki was the star on offense. He went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Houston reliever Tim Marchman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Gabriel Martínez was saddled with the loss. The win moves Houston to a record of 5-5.
Matsuzaki contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Houston get the win.
