Pierce Helps Boise Outscore Victoria
|
The Boise Bloodhounds outscored the Victoria Vikings, 12-10. David Pierce led the way, going 2-for-4 for Boise. Boise reliever Ramon Romandia was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Pablo Sánchez took the loss. Getting the save was Pete Tupper, his 4th.
In a night filled with big hits, none was bigger than the one from Boise shortstop Tomás Correa, the 21-year old third baseman . He collected his 10th hit of the season in the bottom of the sixth inning. In the game, Correa went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Ugly win or not, we'll take it," said Correa.
The Vikings fall to 5-5 and continue their uneasy start to the 2032 season.
