Princes Knock Off Black Squirrels at Philip Banks Field

It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.
Lourenço Perry pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Tree City Black Squirrels, despite Perry's fine outing, dropped a 2-0 decision to the Bel Air Princes at Philip Banks Field. Reliever Tomohito Ihara picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Lourenço Perry took the loss.
Mike Flowers brought the hometown crowd to its feet with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when the 20-year old second baseman belted a solo home run. With the round-tripper, the Princes took the lead, 1-0.
Despite the victory, Flowers was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."
The Black Squirrels fall to 5-5 and continue their uneasy start to the 2032 season.
