Blue Claws Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The umbrellas came out during the Baltimore-Chippewa contest at The Reservation.
The Baltimore Blue Claws defeated the Chippewa River Chiefs, 6-3, in 12 innings. Melvin Cruz led the way, going 4-for-5 for Baltimore. Baltimore reliever Gabriel Pérez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Motonobu Okumura shouldered the loss.
Kaden Harris made it 4-3 in favor of Baltimore when he delivered a run-scoring double. It came with one out in the top of the 12th. The Blue Claws went on to win.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Cruz.
The Blue Claws, now 8-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
