Big Day for Newcombe as Princes Down Hornets, 9-6
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 19-year old center fielder Dave Newcombe helped the Bel Air Princes beat the Bethesda Hornets, 9-6. With the loss, Bethesda sinks to 3-6.
The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Newcombe delivered big-time for Bel Air, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Gui-fan Zhan. The game-changing hit put the Princes on top, 9-6.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Newcombe told the Bel Air Bulletin.
