In a tight battle between the Victoria Vikings and the San Angelo Mustangs, pitcher Raúl Lugo was in the zone. The Victoria right-hander was named the player of the game in Victoria's 3-1 win. Lugo went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. Gerry LaForest earned the save for Victoria, his 1st.
Kyung-jin Yun took Luis Hernández deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Vikings in front, 2-0. For the game, Yun was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
