The bats were silent much of the day at Philip Banks Field. But Mike Flowers conjured up just enough offense to carry the Princes past the Houston Sting, 3-2. Flowers was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bel Air reliever Han-soo Lee picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Edwin Crespin was collared with the loss. Danny Gray got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Flowers contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Bel Air get the win.
"Good win," said Flowers. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
The Princes, with just their 2nd win so far in 2032, have yet to catch fire.
