Dancin' Outlaws Drop Bums, 6-5

The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws had to overcome a big game from Palm Beach center fielder Bernie Gramuglia to leave Penlee Park with a 6-5 victory. Gramuglia went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. The win was credited to Orlando Guzmán in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Terry Outlaw took the loss. Yuko Kinoshita closed it out for his 3rd save.
The Bums had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Dancin' Outlaws going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old shortstop Sandy Alvarado came to the plate. Alvarado hit a run-scoring single on a 2-1 fastball from Palm Beach hurler Terry Outlaw. It was Alvarado's 5th hit of the year.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Juan Carlos Serrano. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
With the win, West Virginia elevates its record to 4-2.
