St. Paul beat Chippewa at Saints Ballpark, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Alberto García, who earned player of the game honors. He was 4-6 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. St. Paul reliever Craig Wyman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Brad Ide took the loss. The Saints, now 1-3, have not found much traction so far in 2032.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to García. Facing Brad Ide with the bases loaded, the St. Paul first baseman had a 2-run single. Game over, walk-off style!
