The Barrow Frosties beat the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 9-3, at Billy Mathews Field. Barrow left fielder Cristián Bernard earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. The win gives the Frosties a record of 1-1.
Bernard contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one at-bat among others that helped Barrow get the win.
