Beetlecats Pin 2-1 Loss on Shamrocks
|
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats and Pacifica Shamrocks completed their game despite the inclement weather.
In a low-scoring game between the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats and the Pacifica Shamrocks, pitcher Vincent Bethea was masterful on the mound. The Buzzard's Bay right-hander was named the player of the game in Buzzard's Bay's 2-1 win. Yuko Kinoshita earned the save for Buzzard's Bay, his 9th.
Buzzard's Bay took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Satoshi Iijima stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Beetlecats.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich. "The effort was great."
Buzzard's Bay is now 72-90, while Pacifica is 98-64.
