The Sandy Springs Spartans took New York pitcher Dan Miscavage's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Coliseum. The final score had Sandy Springs getting past the Ninjas, 8-7. Miscavage went 8 innings and allowed 4 earned runs, striking out 7. The win was credited to Drew Coffin in relief. His record improves to 8-6. Jeff Kent took the loss. Sandy Springs is now 69-92, New York 75-86.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Sandy Springs second baseman Justin Duncan, facing Jeff Kent, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Spartans the 8-7 win.
