A 5-RBI performance from catcher Xun Choe led the Boise Hawks to a 10-3 win over the Youngstown Tune-Ups. The winner was Boise reliever Hank Emmons, now 1-0. The loser was Bruce Easton. Boise is in second place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League with a record of 89-72.

José Rodríguez was a key contributor to the win for the Hawks. In the bottom of the second with two out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a double to left-center. He was 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Boise skipper Arinori Nakamura.
