The Silicon Valley Hackers and Riverside Red Bulls obliged those fans who came to San Jose Municipal Stadium looking for a good time.

Riverside got a terrific performance from right fielder Haruhiko Yamanaka, but it wasn't enough to beat the Silicon Valley Hackers. Silicon Valley won the San Jose Municipal Stadium contest, 6-5. Yamanaka was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Silicon Valley reliever Alex Nambo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Iván Cabrera took the loss.

Had Mike Flowers not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Flowers hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Hackers.

"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Flowers. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."

Silicon Valley now has a 3-game win streak.
