The San Antonio Storm Troopers got a superb performance from pitcher Dennis Hale, but the Cincinnati Snaps still won the game, 4-2. Hale was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. Cincinnati reliever Lenny Tremlett was the winner. His record is now 5-9. Evan Blandford took the loss. Keith Smith, credited with the save, is now 6 for 7 in save opportunities.
Gabe Hershberger made it 3-2, Cincinnati, in the top of the tenth when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Snaps win.
"Exciting game to play in," said Hershberger. "Getting the win makes it even better."
The 4th-place Snaps now have a win-loss record of 72-87.
