The Jacksonville Hellcats faced a tough opponent in Riverside pitcher Jiro Watanabe, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Red Bull Stadium by a final score of 5-2. Watanabe went 6.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. After today's action, Jacksonville sits at 68-89, while Riverside falls to 89-68.

Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Sergio Aragón's at-bat in the top of the eighth was huge. With two out, the Jacksonville designated hitter hit a 2-run single, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
