Stogies, Chi Pin Bad Loss on Bombers

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Havana Stogies coasted to a win over the South Carolina Bombers, 10-2. Si-dao Chi had a good day at the plate for Havana. He was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 4 times. Diego Santiago got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Bombers to 1 earned run on 6 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1.
Kohei Matsumoto took Sotatsu Hayagawa deep in the top of the second. His 2-run home run put the Stogies in front, 2-0. For the game, Matsumoto was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"Feels good to get the job done," Matsumoto said after the game.
The first-place Stogies have won 4 straight.
