Lights Come Back Late to Top Beetlecats
|
The Lights grabbed a win, 6-3, at UFO Field, overcoming a fine effort from Buzzard's Bay pitcher Mike Wolcott. Wolcott went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Phoenix reliever Jorge Ramírez was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Mike Phelan. Paul Murat notched his 15th save in 19 chances.
Phoenix took a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, right fielder Máximo Duarte hit a grand slam home run that brought the crowd to its feet.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Duarte.
Phoenix has now won 4 games in a row.
