The Phoenix Lights wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Mauro Rodríguez, falling 1-0 to the Marysville Monarchs at Mitts Fieldhouse. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Monarchs.
Marysville won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Paul Murat on the mound for Phoenix, left fielder Doug Sanders hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Monarchs fans to their feet.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Sanders said.
