Rams Get Road Win, 11-6
|
The Frisco Rams topped the Phoenix Lights by the score of 11-6, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Jonathan Cottle. Cottle was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Rams. Marvin Pole earned the win to go to 7-2. He allowed 3 earned runs on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Cheng-qian Xia picked up the save for Frisco, his 4th of the year.
Frisco first baseman Stanton Miller helped the Rams to the win. In the top of the third inning, the 24-year old first baseman stroked a 2-run single. For the game, Miller went 1 for 5 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Cottle told the Frisco Daily News.
Frisco now sits in 4th place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League at 77-71.
