Bulldogs Outmuscle Cincinnati, 11-9
Al Nichol was the difference-maker for the Spokane Bulldogs in what turned into a shootout with the Cincinnati Snaps. Nichol earned the player of the game award after going 2-for-3 in the 11-9 Bulldogs win. Cincinnati has now lost 4 consecutive games.

In the bottom of the first inning, Spokane got a break when Nichol went to the plate. With two outs, the bases loaded and the Bulldogs trailing 2-0, Nichol hit a 2-run double.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Nichol told the Spokane Times. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
