New York Ninjas starter Cristo Hernández pitched a strong game against the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field, leading the Ninjas to a 6-4 win. New York is now 68-75, while Pacifica is 86-57.
Mutsuhito Yamamoto helped the New York cause in the top of the second. With a runner on 1st and New York trailing 2-1, he put the hurt on a cutter from Owen Kay, launching it over the fence for a 2-run homer. The blast put the Ninjas in front, 3-2.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Yamamoto told the New York Herald.
