The Riverside Red Bulls scored a 6-5 win versus the Spokane Bulldogs at Red Bull Stadium. Riverside pitcher Jiro Watanabe nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Lien-ying Mar picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-8. Phil Conti was tagged with the loss. Riverside leads the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League by 3½ games.

Haruhiko Yamanaka found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the ninth. Facing Spokane hurler Martín Cantú, the 21-year-old right fielder hit a walk-off run-scoring single. His 136th hit of the season put the Red Bulls on top, 6-5.

"This wasn't a good win," said Yamanaka. "It was a great win."
