Walk-Off Seals 77th Victory for Hawks
|
Boise starter José Garza pitched effectively against the Long Island Ducks at Basque Block Field. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Reliever Katsunosuki Suzuki picked up the win. His record improves to 9-1. Bartolo Alicpa took the loss. The Ducks, at 63-82, have lost 4 straight games.
Late in the game, third baseman Luke Riviere had a big at-bat for Boise. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Bartolo Alicpa. The play gave the Hawks a 4-3 lead.
Riviere described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
