McNair Stars in Beetlecats Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from right fielder Chris McNair, who was drafted in the three round of the 2031 draft, led the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats to a 7-3 win over the Madison Beehive. Earning his 4th save for Buzzard's Bay was Yuko Kinoshita. Buzzard's Bay, at 62-78, occupies 5th place in the Cory Lidle League Gene Mauch Division.
McNair contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Buzzard's Bay in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, McNair took a fastball from Thurman Snider and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Beetlecats to leap in front, 4-1.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said McNair.
