|
Eric Farlin made an impact in the 6-4 DeKalb win over Newark. Farlin went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Hideyori Ohayashi earned his 4th save in 5 chances. The Jail Birds, at 69-71, have lost 4 straight games.
Farlin brought the fans to their feet in the bottom of the sixth, when the 22-year old right fielder ripped a solo home run. The round-tripper put DeKalb ahead, 4-3.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Cornhuskers manager Eduardo Varerla, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
