Red Bulls Beat Monarchs, 7-3
|
The Marysville Monarchs got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Rodríguez, but the Riverside Red Bulls still won the game, 7-3. Rodríguez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. With the win, the Red Bulls have a record of 79-57.
Haruhiko Yamanaka's at-bat in the top of the seventh inning was a big one for Riverside. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Riverside leading 4-3, the right fielder hit a sacrifice fly.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Riverside manager Tim Duncan.
