Red Bulls Shut Out Monarchs
|
Riverside right-hander Daryl Walder was sensational in shutting out the Marysville Monarchs, 4-0. Lien-ying Mar closed the door for Riverside, picking up his 21st save of the year. Riverside improves to 78-57 with the win. They lead their division by 3˝ games.
Ryunosuke Chikafuji gave Riverside a good at-bat in the top of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double to help send Riverside to the win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Chikafuji said.
