A 3-RBI performance from catcher Phil Parker, who is tied for 10th in the FFL with a .504 slugging percentage, led the Carson City Mustang to a 6-4 win over the Rock River Rats. Carson City reliever Kaong Foong was the winner. His record is now 9-3. Ben Crabb took the loss. Miguel Gonzáles, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.

In the top of the fourth inning, Carson City got a break when Parker went to the plate. With no outs, runners on 1st and 2nd and the Mustang leading 2-1, Parker hit a 3-run home run.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Parker told the Carson City Daily News.

The Mustang, at 84-50, have a comfortable 17-game lead in their division.
