Earthquakes Win in Extras
|
In a low-scoring game between the San Francisco Earthquakes and the Brooklyn Black Knights, pitcher Jo-hsi Sang was masterful on the mound. The San Francisco right-hander was named the player of the game in San Francisco's 2-1 win. San Francisco now sits at 19-26, while Brooklyn falls to 26-21.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the 11th, Jorge Rodríguez had a chance to end it. Brooklyn pitcher Mike MacInroy had other ideas. But with two outs, Rodríguez hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Earthquakes had the win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Rodríguez said in his postgame press conference.
