The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win at Mitts Fieldhouse today.

The Marysville Monarchs scored a 5-4 win versus the Riverside Red Bulls at Mitts Fieldhouse. Marysville center fielder Joe Hayes nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The second-place Monarchs are now 73-61, the Red Bulls 77-57.

Marysville won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Chris Bacon on the mound for Riverside, pinch hitter Manny Díaz hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Monarchs fans to their feet.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Hayes.
