Predators Fall Short at Boise
|
Boise beat Topeka at Basque Block Field, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman José Rodríguez, who earned player of the game honors. The losing streak for Topeka has now reached 5 games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Rodríguez hit a fastball from Oscar Ruiz for a run-scoring single. The Hawks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Rodríguez said.
