Kendrick MacAulay was the difference-maker for the Spokane Bulldogs in what turned into a shootout with the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. MacAulay earned the player of the game award after going 4-for-6 in the 11-9 Bulldogs win. T.J. Balaski got the save, his 5th in 5 chances. Spokane has now won 3 in a row.

Spokane right fielder Al Nichol changed the game in the top of the eighth when he belted a 3-run home run off Justin Taylor. His 12th home run of the season gave Spokane a 11-9 lead.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Nichol told the Spokane Times. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
