The Carson City Mustang did just enough to sneak past the Riverside Red Bulls, 5-4, at Cowboys Stadium. Carson City pitcher Kaong Foong earned player of the game honors. Foong, now 8-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 4 earned runs. The Mustang, at 80-49, have a comfortable 14˝-game lead in their division.

Noah Knightley had a big at-bat in the bottom of the first inning for the Mustang. With his team down, 2-1, the first baseman hit a 2-run double, to put Carson City ahead.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Riverside manager Tim Duncan.
