Pacifica and Sandy Springs put this game in the books despite some rain.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder Ryuichi Ine, the Pacifica Shamrocks defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 6-4. Ine was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Shamrocks. Pacifica reliever Hirotada Nan picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Randy McKinney shouldered the loss.

Ine had an impressive at-bat with the game on the line. In the top of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he hit a 3-1 fastball from Peng Zhi for a grand slam home run. Just like that, the Shamrocks took the lead, 6-4.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Ine told the Pacifica Daily News.

Pacifica goes to 79-49. The win puts them 7˝ games up in their division.
