Sasquatch Best Tornadoes in Pitching Duel
|
Debris Field was the site of a tense game between the Kansas City Tornadoes and Seattle Sasquatch.
Seattle Sasquatch starter Matt Nolan turned in a sterling performance against the Kansas City Tornadoes, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Nolan, now 3-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run.
Baden Murphy delivered a big hit for the Sasquatch. The veteran first baseman belted a solo home run in the top of the sixth. The longball put Seattle on top, 2-0. Overall, Murphy was 2-4 with a home run.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Nolan told the Seattle Observer. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
Seattle is now 19-29, while Kansas City is 19-29.
