Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Jiro Takahashi, the Frisco Rams defeated the Wichita Wolverines, 6-4. Takahashi went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Rams. Frisco reliever José Trevino picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Mark Sandwell was saddled with the loss. The Rams improve their record to 67-62 with the win over Wichita.

Takahashi turned the game around in the top of the seventh. That's when the Frisco third baseman dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, Frisco's 4-3 deficit turned into a 6-4 lead.

Takahashi said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
