Lights Win at Long Island, 6-3

The Phoenix Lights beat the Long Island Ducks, 6-3, at Long Island Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Lúcio Sánchez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Phoenix reliever Paul Cochran was credited with the win, to go to 7-0. Braden Halladay took the loss for Long Island. Long Island's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Qu-bing Ci helped the Phoenix cause in the top of the fourth. With a runner on 1st and Phoenix trailing 2-1, he put the hurt on a fastball from Braden Halladay, launching it over the fence for a 2-run homer. The blast put the Lights in front, 3-2.
