Mustang Pick Up 4-2 Win
|
Carson City right-hander Tony Gutiérrez made an effective start against the Madison Beehive at The Hive, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Carson City is now 79-47, 13½ games up in the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division.
Phil Parker contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat that helped Carson City get the win.
"Enjoyed this one," Parker told the Carson City Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
