In a tight game between the Boise Hawks and the Youngstown Tune-Ups, pitcher Domingo Trinidad was terrific on the mound. The Boise left-hander was named the player of the game in Boise's 3-1 win. Boise reliever Philippe Vincent was credited with the win, to go to 5-5. Rafael López took the loss for Youngstown. The Hawks now have a record of 62-62.
Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Jesús Castillo's at-bat in the top of the eighth was huge. With one out, the Boise first baseman hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Castillo.
