Storm Troopers Lose to Snaps in Walk Off
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers wasted an inspired, 5.1-inning effort from starter Tagashashi Ueda, falling 2-1 to the Cincinnati Snaps at The Studio. Cincinnati is 57-68 and San Antonio, with the loss, 52-69.
The Snaps were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Cecil Dell turned a 0-1 fastball from John Welch into a 2-run double. The walk-off double electrified the The Studio denizens and sent the Snaps home with a thrilling 2-1 win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Dell said.
