Spartans Deal Rats Painful Loss
The Sandy Springs Spartans defeated the Rock River Rats, 5-4, in 12 innings. Tomohiro Harada led the way, going 3-for-5 for Sandy Springs. Sandy Springs reliever Chris Tattrie picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Ramón Román took the loss. Sandy Springs is now 57-64, Rock River 78-42.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the 12th, until Harada delivered big-time for Sandy Springs, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Ramón Román. The game-changing hit put the Spartans on top, 5-4.

"This place sure got loud," said António Chávez, the Sandy Springs manager.
