Silicon Valley had no answer for Jacksonville Hellcats hurler Russell Numbers, who overwhelmed Hackers hitters as the Hellcats coasted to a 6-1 victory. Kwan-cheol Hwang finished the game for Jacksonville and earned his 2nd save. Jacksonville is now 50-70. Silicon Valley is 46-74.
In the top of the first inning, Bill Petipas muscled up and hit a 2-run home run. It put Jacksonville ahead, 2-0. For the game, Petipas was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Jacksonville manager Pete Dellow.
