Ernesto Andrade did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Wichita Wolverines from losing, 7-4, to the Carson City Mustang at Cowboys Stadium. Andrade was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Mustang, at 74-45, have a comfortable 14-game lead in their division.

Phil Parker had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Mustang. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Carson City trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run home run.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Mustang manager Nobuharu Chikafuji, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
